We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with at least 1 year of experience in residential interiors. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing designs, preparing drawings, coordinating with vendors and ensuring projects are executed as per the approved design.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand client requirements, preferences, budget and lifestyle needs.
- Create residential interior concepts, layouts and design proposals.
- Prepare 2D layouts, furniture layouts, elevations and working drawings.
- Create 3D designs and presentations using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray or similar tools.
- Select and recommend materials, colours, finishes, furniture, lighting and accessories.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors and the execution team.
- Conduct site visits and ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Take site measurements and prepare accurate drawings.
- Prepare BOQs and material specifications when required.
- Make design modifications based on client feedback.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the agreed timeline and quality standards.
- Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials and space-planning solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in interior design, preferably residential interiors.
- Valuable knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of 3D rendering software will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of space planning, furniture, materials and finishes.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and site requirements.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design or a related field preferred.
