Position Overview : A detail-oriented, enthusiastic candidate with a scientific temperament and market awareness to join our health sciences team. As a development editor one would need to maintain exceptional pedagogical value, clarity, scientific accuracy, and global publishing standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Content Analysis: Verify content completeness and coordinate artwork details with medical illustrators.

· Copyediting Style & Terminology Oversight: Enforce copyediting style compliance for level heads, medical terms, dosages, and pharmaceutical names.

· Author relationship management: Guide authors through manuscript submission requirements, guidelines and schedules.

· Compliance & Permissions: Audit manuscripts for publication ethics, patient privacy, and permissions.

· Workflow & Schedule Management:



Manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery across all stages.

· Stakeholder management: Align with internal teams like production, marketing and sales on schedules and specifications.

Education, Technical and Preferred Competencies

· Education: A Master’s or PhD in life sciences is a solid plus.

· Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (Track Changes, style macros), Adobe Acrobat Pro.

· Sound interpersonal communication and a team playing skills who has the capability to amicably work with multiple teams.
