Key Purpose of the role
The role will involve working as part of the Asia Pacific PSP team.

In this role you will be required to undertake:
Responsible for overall Smart Cable Guard (SCG) business in India
Power cable diagnostics and failure analysis
Coordination with global and regional team
provide general electrical engineering expertise

Main Responsibilities

The individual responsibility will include the following:
- Power cable smart diagnostics, on-line monitoring of partial discharge (PD) in medium voltage power cables, installation and monitoring of smart cable guards.
- Modelling of the high-frequency behaviour of cable systems, high frequency measurement and signal processing technique for noise reduction and extraction of PD signals.
- Development of recent measuring techniques diagnostic methods, remaining life estimations, smart diagnostics, failure analysis, maintenance methodologies and asset management.
- Customer management and involvement in business development activities
- Liaise with industry suppliers,



manage bidding processes and provide critical bid assessment
- Represent DNV GL in seminar, workshop and important forum
- Publication of research papers in important Journals and magazine
- Work on multiple projects, managing own time to meet deadlines
- Produce and review written reports and other documentation for delivery to the client
- Provide technical advice directly to clients
- Impart training on various aspects of subjects for internal and external stakeholders
- Support the continuous improvement of the methodology and documentation
- Participate in RD projects as and when required.
- Any other appropriate duties as directed by line management

Key internal and external contacts (and frequency/method of contact)

The individual will be in regular contact (phone/email/meetings) with the Client and Clients project team as well as construction contractors, stakeholders and other third parties.
