We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented NOC Engineer (L1) to join our Infrastructure Operations team. The role is focused on monitoring server and infrastructure alerts, performing initial
troubleshooting, providing desktop and hardware support, and escalating issues to senior engineers when required. This is an internal technical support role and does not involve direct customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor servers, network devices, and infrastructure alerts using monitoring tools.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and triage of incidents and service interruptions.
- Investigate alerts, validate impact, and take appropriate first-level actions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation.
- Provide desktop support for Windows-based systems and common end-user issues.
- Support hardware troubleshooting, including laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist with backup monitoring and basic backup restoration checks.
- Update and maintain tickets with detailed troubleshooting notes.
- Follow standard operating procedures and escalation processes.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge base updates.
- Work effectively across rotational shifts to ensure 24x7 service coverage.
Required Technical Skills
Essential
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Understanding of server monitoring and alert management.
- Basic troubleshooting and incident triage skills.
- Knowledge of desktop support and hardware diagnostics.
- Familiarity with backup solutions and backup monitoring concepts.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP Addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience working with ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Site24x7, PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar.
