As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client experiences while managing a portfolio of Australian clients. This position combines technical accounting expertise with strong relationship management skills, requiring you to work closely with clients, collaborate with our India-based accounting team, and support the CEO in driving service excellence and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for Australian clients.
Respond to client emails and queries within agreed turnaround times.
Handle client communication through phone, email, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings professionally.
Build long-term relationships by understanding clients' business needs and financial goals.
Support client onboarding, including system setup and expectation management.
Attend client meetings, prepare meeting notes, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
Identify opportunities to provide additional value and recommend suitable accounting or advisory services.
Accounting & Taxation
Prepare and review Financial Statements.
Prepare and review Australian Income Tax Returns.
Prepare and review BAS, IAS, GST, and Payroll.
Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and accounting regulations.
Review bookkeeping and accounting work completed by the delivery team.
Provide technical guidance on Australian accounting and taxation matters.
Team Coordination & Leadership
Coordinate work allocation and communication with the India-based accounting team.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery.
Support process improvements and contribute to enhancing client service systems.
Mentor junior accountants and share technical knowledge.
Assist the CEO with reporting, strategic initiatives, and business improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an Australian Public Accounting Firm.
