Software Developer 4G/5G Core (3 to 5 yrs)

About the Role
You’ll write system-level code, implement protocol logic and build components used in telecom or networking products.

Requirements

Languages: C/C++ (Mandatory)

Core CS Knowledge: Data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts (mandatory)

Network Programming: (Mandatory)
• Socket programming (TCP/UDP sockets, non-blocking I/O)
• Experience in 3GPP message handling and parsing of received socket buffers specific to 3GPP protocols for 4G/5G control plane and user plane.

Telecom Domain – 4G/5G Core (mandatory)
• Core Network Components:
– 4G: MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF
– 5G: AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, NRF
• Protocols:
– Diameter, SIP, GTP-C, GTP-U, PFCP, NAS/NGAP, S1AP, HTTPv2
• Interfaces:
– N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, S1-MME, S1-U,



S5/S8
• Understanding of 4G/5G core procedures.

Networking Fundamentals: TCP, UDP, IP, Routing tables, ARP, VLANs, Subnets, L2/L3 concepts

Operating System: Comfortable with Linux based development (gcc, gdb, make, debugging tools)

Responsibilities
• Develop software modules for Core/Networking systems
• Implement protocol logic with optimization for performance improvements
• Work on end-to-end control plane as well as data plane call flows
• Debug low-level issues in packet flows and system behaviour
• Collaborate with QA/DevOps for integration with external components in the 4G/5G network
