About the Role

As Head Category for Reliance Jewels, you will own category strategy and commercial performance across gold, diamond, studded and silver jewellery — the full range that defines what customers see, choose and buy in every store. Reporting to the Head – Jewels, you'll define the customer proposition, merchandise architecture and price-point structure for each category, and be accountable for category revenue, margin, product mix and inventory productivity.

You'll translate customer demand and business objectives into product requirements and merchandise briefs, partnering closely with the Head – Design to turn category priorities into differentiated, sellable collections, and with Sourcing & Quality to make sure the range is commercially viable. You'll architect assortments across store clusters, regions and price points, lead annual category planning, forecasting and open-to-buy, and set the pricing and making-charge structures that protect margin.





Inventory lifecycle management will sit squarely with you — from current launches and replenishment through to ageing stock and end-of-life decisions — and you'll use category analytics and customer, competitor and market insight to keep uncovering assortment and pricing opportunities.

Working closely with Operations, Marketing and Supply Chain, you'll also build category management, planning, pricing and analytics capability across your team, establishing clear accountability and review discipline. This role carries full category-management ownership across the Reliance Jewels merchandise portfolio.
