Role Overview

OWIS Sarjapur is looking for a passionate and creative MYP Visual Arts Teacher to inspire students through visual arts and foster creativity, critical thinking and self-expression within the IB MYP framework.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging MYP Visual Arts lessons aligned with IB standards and practices.
- Develop students’ technical skills, creativity, artistic expression and critical thinking.
- Facilitate inquiry-based and concept-driven learning experiences.
- Guide students in exploring different artistic media, techniques and perspectives.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive, developmental feedback.
- Maintain student portfolios and appropriate assessment documentation.
- Encourage experimentation, reflection and independent artistic thinking.




- Collaborate with MYP teachers and participate in interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
- Support exhibitions, art showcases and other school/community events.
- Maintain a safe, organised and inspiring art studio environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an IB/MYP school.
- Strong knowledge of visual arts techniques, media and contemporary art practices.
- IB MYP experience or training will be an advantage.
- Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating artistic expertise is preferred.
