Position Summary

Responsible for managing direct tax compliances, supporting tax assessments and litigation, assisting in tax planning initiatives, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Tax Compliance
- Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and related schedules.
- Computation and review of advance tax, self-assessment tax and tax provisions.
- Preparation of quarterly and annual tax workings and reconciliations.
- Ensuring compliance with the Income-tax Act, 1961.

2. TDS / TCS Compliance
- Review and ensure compliance with TDS/TCS provisions.
- Validate withholding tax applicability on business transactions.
- Filing and reconciliation of quarterly TDS/TCS returns.
- Resolution of TDS notices, defaults and mismatches.

Tax Assessment & Litigation
- Support tax assessments, scrutiny proceedings and departmental notices.
- Prepare submissions, replies and supporting documents for tax authorities.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain litigation trackers and monitor timelines/action items.

4. Tax Accounting & Reporting
- Preparation of current and deferred tax computations.
- Support statutory, tax and internal audits.
- Reconciliation of tax returns with financial statements.
- Support tax-related financial statement disclosures.

5. Tax Advisory & Process Improvement
- Research changes in tax laws, regulations and judicial precedents.
- Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide recommendations.
- Support automation and process improvement in tax processes.
- Develop and maintain tax compliance SOPs and documentation.

Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of the Income-tax Act, 1
