Role & responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing methods for composite structures, fairings, motor casings, brackets, panels, and assemblies.
- Define composite manufacturing processes including prepreg layup, vacuum bagging, autoclave/oven curing, RTM/resin infusion, trimming, machining, bonding, and assembly.
- Prepare process specifications, work instructions, routing sheets, job cards, and method sheets.
- Lead new product industrialization, process trials, first-article builds, and process validation.
- Optimize cycle time, material utilization, yield, throughput, and rework.
- Conduct RCA, PFMEA, control plans, and continuous improvement activities.
- Define requirements for composite tooling, moulds, mandrels, fixtures, and assembly jigs.
- Work closely with Design, Production, Quality, Materials, Tooling, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support NCR investigations, repair/rework, NDT, dimensional inspection, and production troubleshooting.




- Ensure manufacturing processes meet aerospace quality and reliability requirements.

Preferred candidate profile
- Aerospace / Defence / Aviation / Space industry experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 / NADCAP.
- Experience with composite tooling and manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of AFP/ATL and Out-of-Autoclave (OoA) processes.
- Lean / Six Sigma experience.
- Strong practical experience in:
- Prepreg Layup
- Vacuum Bagging
- Autoclave / Oven Curing
- RTM / Resin Infusion
- Composite Bonding & Assembly
- Composite Trimming & Machining
- Good knowledge of carbon fiber, glass fiber, resin systems, cure cycles, composite defects, and failure modes.
- Experience in PFMEA, Control Plans, RCA, Work Instructions, Process Specifications, and Routing.
- Hands-on experience in a shop-floor manufacturing workplace.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM and PLM tools.
