Provide basic patient care at home and support daily activities and assists nurses or family members in maintaining patient comfort, safety, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities: bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting
- Support patient mobility: walking, repositioning, wheelchair transfers
- Monitor and report basic vitals (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration)
- Maintain hygiene of patient, bed, and surrounding area
- Assist in medication reminders as per nurse/doctor instructions
- Support elderly, bedridden, post-operative, or chronically ill patients
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate patient condition to nurse, doctor, or family
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity,
and emotional comfort
Skills & Requirements
- Basic patient care knowledge
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work in long shifts and home settings
- Good communication with patients and families
Qualifications
- 10th / 12th pass
- GDA / Nursing Assistant certificate preferred
- Experience in home care or hospital is an advantage
