Position Summary
The accountant is responsible for handling accounts and tax matters to meet financial reporting and tax requirements for India entity.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform month-end closing processes and ensuring compliance with local and group reporting requirements.
- Perform variance, cost, profit and trending analysis.
- Perform reconciliations for bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.
- Handles direct and indirect tax filing and return submission in accordance with the local law and statutes.
- Ensure internal and external financial and tax reporting compliance requirements and timelines are met.
- Support statutory audit, tax and local transfer pricing reporting, ensuring statutory compliance are adhered and complete timely.
- Provide support to projects where expertise is required; support queries and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Other ad hoc requests and supports as required.

A Successful Candidate Is Likely To Have
- Degree in accountancy with at least 5 years accounting and tax experience.
- Good technical knowledge of India accounting practices, financial reporting, and tax legislation compliance.
- Experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Experience in SAP system, a shared service center environment or an MNC will be an added advantage.
- Meticulous, able to multi-task and delivery results within tight deadlines.
- Valuable analytical and problems solving skills.
- A responsible team player with good communication, follow-up and inter-personal skills.
