The Operations and Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in executing maintenance activities, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, all while contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes and the overall performance of the system.
Key Responsibilities of Role
PNG O&M; Engineer - O3 Operational Support: - Assist in the day-to-day operations of PNG pipelines, ensuring the effective and reliable delivery of services.
- Monitor the performance of equipment and systems, conducting routine inspections to identify and address any operational issues.
- Support the implementation of operational strategies and procedures developed by the O&M; Lead to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards during operations, reporting any deviations to the O&M; Lead.
- Provide technical support during the integration of new systems or equipment into existing PNG infrastructure.
Maintenance Execution: - Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on PNG pipelines equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to monitor the condition of pipelines and infrastructure, identifying maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers to carry out maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, ensuring these are readily available for review.
- Implement best practices in maintenance management, contributing to continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
