Job Summary

We are hiring a purchase manager for our operations in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. We are engaged in the manufacturing of ferro-alloys, which falls under the Iron & Steel industries.

The candidate will be responsible for managing purchase and procurement activities, vendor management, supplier development, material sourcing, quotation comparison, price negotiation, issuing purchase orders, and insuring timely delivery of materials.

Candidates with 3–5 years of relevant experience in purchase, procurement, or materials management are preferred. Candidates with a B.Sc. or B.Tech qualification will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete purchase and procurement operations.
- Source raw materials, spare parts, equipment, consumables, and other materials as required.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain solid relationships with existing suppliers and develop new vendor sources.




- Obtain and compare vendor quotations based on price, quality, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate purchase price, payment terms, credit period, delivery schedule, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs).
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials according to company requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Accounts, Engineering, and Management for purchase requirements.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and supplier delivery schedules.
- Handle vendor-related issues concerning quality, quantity, delays, shortages, and material discrepancies.
- Maintain proper records of vendors, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documents.
- Monitor market rates and conduct price comparison and cost analysis.
