Job Description: Vendor Manager (Book & Journal Publishing)

Experience: Mid-level | Minimum 3 years

Role Overview :We are looking for a Vendor Manager with at least 3 years of experience in the book and/or journal publishing industry to support outsourcing needs across teams. The role will manage freelancer onboarding, compliance, coordination, and payment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to support outsourcing requirements

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard freelancers/vendors

• Manage a pool of publishing freelancers (editorial, design, production, XML, etc.)

• Ensure vendor contracts, NDAs, and agreements are completed

• Coordinate with finance for timely vendor payments

• Act as the primary point of contact for vendors

• Track vendor performance and maintain vendor records

Required Skills & Experience :

• Minimum 3 years experience in book and/or journal publishing

• Experience managing freelancers or external vendors

• Understanding of publishing workflows and outsourcing models

•Robust coordination and communication skills

•Working knowledge of contracts and payment processes
