Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation, problem-solving and next-generation product development. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and technical design skills, with a proven track record in the design of high-performance, dynamic electromechanical systems subjected to continuous movement, complex structural loading and varied environmental conditions. Expertise in precision mechanism design, advanced structural and thermal analysis and optimization for rapid field deployment is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop complex, high-reliability mechanical components, cable-driven or rail-mounted guidance mechanisms and multi-axis stabilized systems.
- Design ruggedized, IP65/IP68-rated and pressure-sealed enclosures capable of operating reliably in harsh, wet, or fully submerged environments.
- Conduct rigorous static and agile load analysis, structural optimization and thermal expansion/contraction studies to ensure system stability under high-velocity or variable-temperature operations.
- Optimize mechanical designs for ergonomics, portability and rapid, tool-less rigging and derigging in time-critical field environments.
- Create precise 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings using industry-standard CAD tools, ensuring strict compliance with manufacturing and safety standards.
- Lead prototyping efforts and select optimal materials (e.g., advanced alloys, composites) to balance structural strength, weight minimization, corrosion resistance and thermal stability.
- Collaborate closely with electronics, robotics and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of drive systems, slip rings, sensors and payload stabilization components.
