About the Role

We're looking for a high-impact Manager Credit & Operations to own the end-to-end credit operations function for our NBFC. You will drive underwriting excellence, optimize lending operations, strengthen portfolio quality, and build scalable, tech-enabled processes. This role partners closely with Risk, Product, Engineering, and Business teams to enhance credit decisioning, improve operational efficiency, and deliver a seamless customer lending experience.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lending lifecycle, including customer onboarding, KYC/AML, bureau analysis, underwriting, loan processing, disbursement, servicing, and repayment operations.
- Drive high-quality credit decisions by ensuring adherence to credit policy, underwriting governance, risk appetite, and portfolio quality objectives.
- Monitor and optimize key business metrics including TAT, approval rates, FPD, early delinquency, operational SLAs, and productivity.
- Collaborate with Risk and Analytics to enhance scorecards, underwriting policies, decision engines, and credit rule frameworks.




- Partner with Product and Engineering to automate workflows, improve LOS capabilities, and implement scalable, data-driven operational processes.
- Establish robust SOPs, maker-checker controls, audit readiness, and compliance with RBI regulations and internal governance standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing underwriting and operations teams while driving a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage MIS and operational dashboards to generate actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in underwriting, credit risk, or lending operations, with a minimum of 3 years in an NBFC, fintech lender, or retail banking setting.
- Strong expertise in retail lending products such as Personal Loans, Consumer Loans, MSME Lending, Digital Lending, or Secured Lending.
