Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping function for the pre-opening and operation of The Kamala Resort, Sakleshpur.

The candidate will be responsible for setting up housekeeping systems, recruiting and training the team, preparing the resort for opening, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest service.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete Housekeeping operation of the resort.
- Plan and set up housekeeping operations for the pre-opening.
- Develop housekeeping SOPs, checklists and standards.
- Recruit, train and manage the housekeeping team.
- Prepare staffing plans, duty rosters and departmental schedules.
- Set up housekeeping stores, linen rooms and operational areas.
- Coordinate with Purchase for procurement of linen, guest amenities, cleaning chemicals and housekeeping supplies.
- Coordinate with Engineering for room maintenance and housekeeping-related issues.
- Ensure guest rooms,



public areas, back-of-house areas and staff areas are maintained to high standards.
- Establish room inspection procedures and quality standards.
- Manage linen, uniforms, amenities and housekeeping inventory.
- Control departmental costs, wastage and inventory.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Coordinate closely with Front Office for room status and guest requirements.
- Handle VIP rooms, special occasions and guest requests.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and resort standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and take corrective action where required.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Prepare the complete housekeeping pre-opening plan.
- Develop SOPs and checklists.
- Finalize housekeeping manpower requirements.
- Recruit and train the housekeeping team.
- Set up linen rooms, housekeeping stores and pantries.
- Prepare opening stock and par levels.
