The Head Marketing & Business Development will own the P&L; growth agenda for the Gear Business, driving revenue, market share, and profitability across India. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and executing the sales strategy, expanding the customer base across core and adjacent industries, strengthening key accounts, and positioning WIL's Gear Business as a preferred supplier to OEMs, EPC contractors, and end-user industries nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Growth
- Define and execute the annual and multi-year sales & marketing strategy for the Gear Business in line with overall business targets.
- Identify new market segments, applications, and geographies for gearbox and gear component sales (cement, sugar, power, steel, marine, defence, oil & gas, material handling, etc.).
- Drive top-line growth, order booking, and profitability (realization/margins) targets.

Sales & Business Development
- Lead PAN India business development efforts direct sales, channel partners, and institutional/OEM accounts.




- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline; own forecasting, order inflow, and revenue targets.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key customers, EPC contractors, consultants, and government/PSU bodies (e.g., cement majors, sugar mills, power utilities, defence/PSU entities).
- Lead negotiations and closures for large-value/strategic orders and long-term contracts.

Key Account & Relationship Management
- Manage and grow existing key accounts while building new strategic relationships.
- Work closely with customers on techno-commercial requirements, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Marketing & Brand Positioning
- Build the marketing strategy including participation in industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and trade bodies.
