Freelance Video Editor
About the role

We are looking for a freelance video editor who can create premium films for hotels, resorts, and hospitality brands.

The editor will be responsible for transforming professionally shot footage into emotionally engaging visual stories. This role requires strong visual taste, thoughtful shot selection and an understanding of architecture and hospitality not merely knowledge of editing software.

Responsibilities
- Review and organise footage from cameras, drones and other sources.
- Select shots based on composition, movement, lighting and storytelling value.
- Develop a clear structure for each film.
- Edit visuals according to the music, mood and intended audience.
- Create smooth pacing without overusing transitions or effects.
- Apply basic colour correction before DI.
- Add music, SFX and basic sound design.




- Create clean titles, logo animations and simple motion graphics.
- Incorporate feedback accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Prepare picture-locked timelines for the colorist.
- Replace graded files and deliver final masters.
- Maintain organised project files, folders and backups.

Required skills
- Solid command of DaVinci Resolve.
- Good understanding of cinematic pacing and visual storytelling.
- Experience with hospitality, architecture, interiors or lifestyle content.
- Ability to work with log footage, proxies and multiple raw camera formats.
- Basic knowledge of After Effects or equivalent motion-graphics tools.
- Basic colour correction and sound-mixing ability.
- Reliable internet, an editing-capable computer and adequate storage.
- Strong communication and ability to follow written feedback.

Preferred qualities
- Good musical sense.
- Understanding of luxury and premium branding.
