Job Description – Senior Electrical Sourcing Engineer

Role Summary
The Senior Electrical Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, localization, and supply assurance for electrical and electronic commodities. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, and Supply Chain to support New Product Introduction (NPI), localization initiatives, and production continuity.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned electrical commodities.
- Identify and onboard current domestic and international suppliers.
- Drive supplier competitiveness through benchmarking and market intelligence.
- Develop dual-source strategies to improve supply resilience.

Commodity Management
Manage Sourcing For Electrical And Electronic Components Such As
- PCB and PCBA
- Power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, SiC, GaN)
- Capacitors
- Relays and contactors
- Fuses and circuit breakers
- Connectors and terminals




- Wiring harnesses and cable assemblies
- Magnetics (transformers, inductors)
- Cooling fans and thermal components
- Displays, HMIs, and control electronics
- Sensors and communication modules

Supplier Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers.
- Conduct supplier capability and process audits.
- Evaluate manufacturing capacity and technical competence.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs.
- Drive supplier quality and delivery improvements.

Cost Management
- Lead commercial negotiations and long-term agreements.
- Perform should-cost analysis and cost breakdown reviews.
- Drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives.
- Deliver annual cost reduction and productivity targets.

New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Support sourcing activities from concept through mass production.
- Participate in design reviews and supplier selection.
