Job Purpose
Maximize plant runtime, eliminate equipment breakdowns, and ensure seamless tier-1 automotive component manufacturing operations through high-level mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Hydraulic Presses:
Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on high-tonnage hydraulic presses, proportional valves, manifolds, cylinders, and high-pressure pumps.
- Transfer Moulding:
Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize rubber/plastic transfer moulding machinery, clamping mechanisms, hot runner systems, and temperature controllers.
- PLC & Automation:
Diagnose faults, upload/download programs, alter ladder logic, and calibrate HMIs, VFDs, and proximity sensors (Siemens / Mitsubishi / Allen-Bradley).
- Breakdown Analysis:
Target zero-breakdown operational metrics by analyzing and reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
- Compliance & Safety:
Maintain standard documentation for IATF 16949 and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Ensure strict enforcement of Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Spares Management:
Track and maintain inventory for critical electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical spares to eliminate prolonged lead times during breakdowns.
Technical Skills Required
- Advanced blueprint and schematic reading (hydraulic circuit diagrams and electrical drawings).
- Hands-on PLC diagnostic fault-finding and hardware loop checking.
- Robust background in manufacturing automation, root cause analysis (5-Why, Kaizen), and 5S plant practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience:
3 to 7 years of core maintenance experience inside an automotive component manufacturing plant.
