Job Profile
- As an EMC Engineer he/she conducts EMC testing on a wide variety of automotive products. These components consist of different technologies including analog, digital, optic, RF and Microwave applications.
- Additional duties are performed as needed to ensure completion of projects and contribute to the success of entire products relevant certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and interpret standards for appropriate test methods.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve EMI technical issues.
- Position requires independent problem solving and decision making under the supervision of the EMC Lab Manager.
- Looks for ways to continuously improve existing test methods and lab processes.
- Create test setups and fixtures to properly operate, monitor, and orient the product while under test. Trouble-shoot and determine resolution of issues.
- Hands on on Environmental Test like Temperature, Humidity, Salt Spray, Ingress Protection, Vibration etc.
- Solid written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a internal Groups, with colleagues and clients.
- EMC/EMI or Regulatory compliance knowledge.
- FCC Part 15, EN55032 and EN55024, RED, WPC.
- Knowledge in the calibration activities for that test equipment required to maintain accreditation requirements.
- RF test equipment.
