Mainframe CICS Administrator

Experience:7+ Years

Location:Hyderabad,pune ,Banglore

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain
CICS Transaction Server, zCEE, CICS PA, CAFC
and other vendor products.
- Perform periodic maintenance, including
FIX pack application and upgrades
.
- Configure and support
CICS Web Services, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers, and Angels
.
- Monitor and troubleshoot CICS environments to ensure system availability and performance.
- Identify performance issues and provide appropriate administrative solutions.
- Use monitoring and diagnostic tools such as
CA SYSVIEW, OMEGAMON, MainView, Fault Analyzer, and CICS PA
.
- Perform
CICS SSL setup and troubleshooting
.
- Troubleshoot CICS connectivity and architecture involving
CMAS/MRO, non-MRO, DataPower, WAS, and Java
.
- Handle incidents and service requests through
ServiceNow / BMC Remedy
within agreed SLAs.
- Work with
z/OS JCL
and have a basic understanding of System z communications and
SNA concepts
.




- Interpret assembler output listings for troubleshooting purposes.
- Maintain technical documentation and
DR operational procedures
.
- Participate in
24/7 rotational support
, including planned weekend support and implementation activities.

Required Skills:
- Robust hands-on experience in
CICS Administration
.
- Experience with
CICS installation, upgrade, configuration, and maintenance
.
- Knowledge of
CICS Web Services, CICSplex, JVM Servers, and SSL
.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with
OMEGAMON / CA SYSVIEW / MainView / Fault Analyzer / CICS PA
.
- Knowledge of
CICS architecture, CMAS/MRO, and non-MRO environments
.
- Working knowledge of
z/OS JCL
.
- Knowledge of
DataPower, WAS, and Java connectivity
is an advantage.
- Experience with
ServiceNow or BMC Remedy
.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work in a
24/7 rotational support model
.
