Role & responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Software Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Technical Leads.
- Own engineering execution, delivery, quality, and technical outcomes for one or more products or engineering teams.
- Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with product and business objectives.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Design, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to plan and deliver product initiatives.
- Drive project planning, prioritization, resource allocation, estimation, execution, and release management.
- Establish engineering best practices across SDLC, Agile/Scrum, code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, and production operations.
- Provide technical guidance on system design, architecture, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Review technical designs and ensure engineering solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify and manage technical debt, engineering risks, dependencies, and production issues.
- Monitor engineering metrics including delivery velocity, quality,



reliability, availability, productivity, and operational performance.
- Build a high-performing engineering culture through mentoring, coaching, feedback, career development, and performance management.
- Participate in hiring and build effective engineering teams through technical interviews, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, architecture, and development practices.
- Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for critical production issues.
- Communicate engineering plans, progress, risks, dependencies, and business impact to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration across teams and resolve technical, organizational, and delivery-related blockers.
