The Senior Engineer – R&D; (Earthquake Engineering) will undertake research, analysis and consultancy assignments related to seismic hazard, site response and earthquake-resistant geotechnical design. The role includes developing technically sound methodologies, performing advanced numerical analyses and supporting the implementation of seismic risk-reduction solutions for infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform Probabilistic and Deterministic Seismic Hazard Analyses (PSHA and DSHA).
· Develop site-specific response spectra and ground-motion parameters.
· Conduct site-response analyses.
· Select, process and scale earthquake ground-motion records.
· Assess the seismic response of various geotechnical systems.
· Perform dynamic numerical analyses.
· Support soil–structure interaction, liquefaction potential and seismic deformation assessments.
· Interpret geotechnical, geophysical and seismological data.
· Prepare technical proposals, reports and design recommendations.
· Review seismic analyses and technical outputs prepared by project teams.
· Develop R&D; methodologies, computational tools and technical procedures.
· Contribute to research papers, conference publications, patents and funded research proposals.
· Coordinate with clients, consultants, academic institutions and multidisciplinary teams.
· Guide junior engineers, researchers and interns.
· Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and quality procedures.
