Job Profile – Science Teacher (Chemistry)

Position: Science Teacher – Chemistry
Level: Secondary School

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science, with Chemistry as the primary subject, as per the prescribed ICSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, concept-based and activity-oriented lessons.
- Plan and conduct practical/laboratory experiments while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and other academic resources.
- Assess students through classwork, tests, examinations, projects and practical work.
- Monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and student performance.
- Encourage scientific thinking, observation, experimentation and problem-solving skills.
- Participate actively in school activities, examinations, workshops,



meetings and co-curricular programmes.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and colleagues regarding students' progress and concerns.
- Ensure discipline and a positive learning workplace in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry/Science with a recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed. preferred).
- Good knowledge of the ICSE curriculum and assessment practices.
- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively handle laboratory work and practical sessions.
- Passion for teaching and the ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
