Role & responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care to patients.
- Prepare the Operation Theatre, instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures as a Scrub Nurse or Circulating Nurse, as assigned.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform surgical instrument, sponge, needle, and swab counts before, during, and after surgery.
- Ensure proper identification and verification of the patient, procedure, and surgical site.
- Assist in positioning and transferring patients safely.
- Monitor and maintain OT equipment, instruments, and emergency supplies.
- Ensure proper handling, segregation, and disposal of biomedical waste.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthesia team, CSSD,



laboratory, blood bank, and other concerned departments.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, OT registers, checklists, and documentation.
- Ensure proper specimen collection, identification, labeling, and dispatch.
- Follow infection-prevention, sterilization, and patient-safety protocols.
- Check emergency drugs, equipment, and resuscitation facilities and report deficiencies immediately.
- Assist in maintaining OT cleanliness and environmental safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile
- B.Sc. Nursing/GNM
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
- EXP: 1 TO 5 YEARS
