- Business Building & Strategy: Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for the snacks and packaged sweets category, from market entry through scale-up.
- Team Building: Build the sales and distribution organisation from scratch, including structure, roles, and reporting lines appropriate to a current vertical.
- Recruit, onboard, and lead a high-performing sales team across relevant geographies as the business scales.
- Sales & Distribution: Design and roll out the distribution network general trade, modern trade, and any relevant emerging channels for a new category launch.
- Own primary and secondary sales targets, distributor and retailer onboarding, and channel economics.
- Operating Rigour: Establish systems, processes, and reporting cadences (sales operations, MIS, incentive structures) suited to a fast-scaling new business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the vertical is supported end-to-end.
- Stakeholder Management:



Report directly to the Managing Director on business performance, market feedback, and scale-up milestones.

Candidate Profile
- Experience: Approximately 15-20 years, with deep, hands-on experience in the snacks category.
- Track Record: Demonstrated track record of building and scaling a business or category, ideally from an early or pre-scale stage.
- Mindset: A strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to set up a business function from scratch and operate with founder-like ownership.
- Core Capabilities: Strong, demonstrated capability across sales, distribution, go-to-market strategy, and team building.
- Leadership: Experience building and leading sales teams in a growth or startup-like environment is strongly preferred.
- Location Preference: Candidates based in Bengal are preferred, given the location of the role.
- Seniority: This role is suited to a seasoned snacks industry leader rather than an early-career or junior profile.
