Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models as per customer and production requirements.
- Work on AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T.;
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs and related design documents.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Purchase departments for design-related requirements.
- Make drawing revisions based on engineering changes and customer feedback.
- Support senior design engineers in new product development and existing product modifications.
- Ensure drawings are prepared according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain proper control and records of drawings and design documents.
- Visit the shop floor when required to understand manufacturing feasibility.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Valuable understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of engineering drawing and manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and fits will be an advantage.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to coordinate with different departments.
Preferred Candidate
- Fresh Diploma / BE Mechanical Engineering graduate.
- Candidates with an internship or academic project in Design, HMC VMC machining, fabrication or manufacturing will be preferred.
- Candidates willing to work at Chakan location.
