Key Responsibilities:
Procurement of mechanical rotary equipment including:
Pumps, blowers, agitators, disc filters
RO and membrane-based systems
Prepare RFQs and conduct technical + commercial bid evaluations.
Liaise with engineering for specification finalization.
Manage vendor negotiations, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
Ensure documentation compliance (QA/QC, inspection, drawings, manuals).
Track material deliveries and ensure timely resolution of supply issues.
Maintain detailed procurement records and cost comparison sheets.
Lead rotary equipment procurement across multiple projects.
Guide junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Identify new vendors and improve cost-effectiveness through alternate sourcing.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
15+ years experience in rotary equipment procurement.
Strong knowledge of water treatment/industrial equipment and vendor markets.
Positive understanding of engineering drawings and technical data sheets.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Solid negotiation and vendor communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in water treatment and infrastructure EPC projects.
Exposure to both domestic and international vendors.
Knowledge of equipment packaging, logistics, and inspection.
