1. Daily Financial Reporting: Prepared and reviewed daily financial reports covering available bank balances, total bank payments and receipts, age-wise outstanding creditors and debtors, total purchases, sales, and expenses to provide management with an accurate view of the company’s financial position.
2. Payment Planning & Creditor Management: Planned and scheduled payments to creditors based on agreed credit periods, payment priorities, and available cash flow, ensuring timely payments and effective working capital management.
3. Day Book Verification & Accounting Controls: Verify the previous day's day book and accounting entries on a daily basis to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper classification, and compliance with internal accounting controls.
4. Outward Remittance Approval: Review and approve outward remittances after verifying the relevant supporting documents, ensuring that payments are properly authorized, supported, and accurately recorded.
5. Debtor Ledger & Sub-Ledger Management:
Create and maintain debtor ledger accounts under the appropriate groups/sub-ledgers.
6. Payroll & Salary Accounting: Verify salary sheets prepared by HR for accuracy and completeness and ensure timely posting of salary and related accounting entries in the books of accounts.
7. GST Compliance & Reconciliation: Prepare and review GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns and carry out GSTR-2B reconciliation.
8. Supervision of Accounts Team: Monitor and supervise the day-to-day activities of accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, proper accounting practices, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
9. Financial Monitoring & Internal Control: Monitor accounting and financial transactions on a regular basis, identify discrepancies where applicable, and ensure adherence to established financial procedures and internal controls.
