Deputy Manager Purchase / Solvents will execute the procurement strategy for bulk, commodity, and
specialty chemicals across domestic and international markets. The role demands technical expertise in
chemical categories, raw material specifications, supplier qualification, compliance frameworks, and
logistics optimization.
The candidate will be responsible for securing cost-competitive, high-quality, and regulatory-compliant
chemical supplies while driving long-term supplier partnerships and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for bulk intermediates, solvents,
and specialty chemicals.
- Manage the complete procurement cycle.
- Build and maintain coordination with vendors & internal stakeholders
- Follow the GMP guidelines.
- Explore the recent saving opportunities
- Implement E Procurement tools
- Coordinate supplier technical audits,
- Manage contract negotiations covering pricing formulas (linked to feedstock indices like crude,
benzene,metal index etc.), credit terms, and supply security clauses.
- Collaborate with R&D; and process engineering teams to source new molecules for scale-up and
commercialization.
- Partner with logistics to optimize multi-modal chemical transportation (Tankers ,ISO tanks, bulk containers,
hazardous cargo handling).
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors / Master’s in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Chemistry / Supply Chain
Management.
- 5–8 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience in the industrial chemicals sector.
- Strong knowledge of global chemical supply markets, feedstock price drivers, and commodity
cycles.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale supplier negotiations and establishing long-term supply
