Role Description This is a full-time, in office Continental Chef CDP role based in Mumbai at The Shalimar Hotel. The Continental Chef CDP will oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of continental dishes, ensuring high standards of taste, hygiene, and consistency. Responsibilities include supporting menu planning, managing mise en place, supervising junior kitchen staff, and coordinating with other sections to ensure smooth service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner operations. The role involves monitoring inventory and food costs, following standardized recipes,



maintaining food safety and sanitation practices, and collaborating with the Head Chef to introduce new dishes or seasonal specials. The Continental Chef CDP is expected to contribute to a positive kitchen culture, uphold hotel brand standards, and provide timely, efficient support during busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in continental cuisine preparation, cooking techniques, and plating, with an eye for detail and presentation.
- Experience in professional kitchen operations, including mise en place management, station organization, and coordination during service.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to supervise and guide junior team members, work collaboratively with the kitchen brigade, and communicate effectively with service staff.
