We are seeking a motivated individual to fill an open position as an environmental scientist. This position will team with other staff to conduct environmental field assessments and complete technical reports. This position involves conducting ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects, which will include site inspections, research and interviews, data review and interpretation, and report writing. The position also will involve completing Tier I level technical reviews of various environmental assessment reports, workplans, and other environmental-related documentation. Involvement in soil, groundwater, drinking water and air sampling likely also will be among the responsibilities. Candidates must be capable of understanding and implementing health and safety plans, and interfacing with both internal staff (project managers and project coordinators) as well as client representatives and other project discipline leads.
Our project opportunities are geographically diverse, with immediate opportunities to work across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Regardless of exact location, the field conditions can be rugged. Travel may be required. Compensation packages include overtime pay, per diem and expense reimbursement, and bonuses based on performance. What You Will Bring:
BS/BA in environmental science or related physical sciences field
Two to eight years of experience conducting Phase I ESAs
Valid driver’s license
Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Interest in participating and supporting various functions of a growing business
OSHA 40-hour Health & Safety training at hazardous waste sites as well as appropriate 8-hour refreshers are a plus
