Job Purpose
Dimensional Inspection of castings & forgings against Customer specification and Drawings in various stages of casting processes .To ensure the product dimension meets the customer requirement .
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out the dimension of casting as per the drawing & specifications
- Maintaining the measuring and test equipment on area with calibration status
- Measure and accept as per ISO 8062 std or as per customer requirement or as per the drawing
- Coordinating with the concern department for the corrective action in case of Dimensional deviation on the casting.
- Maintaining dimension reports and relevant documents related to the dimension inspection.
- Follow up on casting Dimensional correction against the dimensional report if any Non conformity found
- Monitoring Dimensional related NCR effectiveness
- Ensure the casting Marking and lettering as per the customer drawings and specifications.
- Carry out visual inspection castings and forgings on the sample castings.
- Bulk casting / forgings audit inspection related to dimensional inspection.




- Developing / assisting QC engineer to develop dimensional inspection standards.

Job Requirements
- Education
- ITI / Diploma in mechanical engineering or similar qualification preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection.
- Experience in the steel casting/forging industry is must.
- Experience in CMM inspection and programming is preferred.
- Certifications
- NDE certifications ASNT Level II on visual inspection is must. preferred.
- DE certifications ASNT Level II on MT / PT inspection is preferred
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in operating inspection equipment and understanding quality standards.
- Ability to interpret Engineering drawing and Geometric dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Ability to interpret ISO, ASME and ASTM standards related to dimensional and visual is must.
- Knowledge of moulding and core assembly is must.
