Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon to join our surgical team The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis surgical treatment and post-operative care of patients with diseases and disorders of the brain spine and peripheral nerves The role includes both elective and emergency procedures and requires robust leadership in clinical practice teaching and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage neurosurgical conditions such as brain tumors spinal cord injuries traumatic brain injuries congenital neurological abnormalities vascular malformations and degenerative spine diseases Perform complex neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies spinal surgeries neuroendoscopy and minimally invasive techniques Provide emergency neurosurgical interventions such as for intracranial hemorrhage or spinal cord compression Lead preoperative assessments surgical planning and postoperative care of patients Collaborate with neurologists radiologists oncologists anesthetists and ICU teams to deliver holistic care Supervise and mentor junior doctors surgical trainees and medical students Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives Stay updated on the latest neurosurgical techniques and best practices through continued professional development Contribute to research and teaching activities if in an academic or teaching hospital setting Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies safety standards and medical regulations Qualifications Requirements Medical degree MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution Postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery e g MCh FRCS American Board Certification or equivalent Full registration and license to practice as a specialist in Neurosurgery in the relevant jurisdiction Minimum X years of independent neurosurgical practice post-certification Expertise in cranial and
