We are seeking an experienced Functional Team Coach to support a leading European Bank undergoing continuous business and digital transformation initiatives powered by Temenos core banking solutions. The role will be responsible for coaching and guiding functional teams across key banking domains including Lending, Investments, Payments, Treasury, Derivatives, Mobile Banking, and Web Banking.
The ideal candidate will possess strong banking domain expertise combined with proven experience in coaching business and functional teams to improve collaboration, process effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, and delivery outcomes. Working closely with business leaders, product owners, operations teams, and technology teams, the Functional Team Coach will drive best practices in business analysis, process optimization, functional governance, and business transformation while ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coach and guide functional teams across Lending, Investments, Payments, Treasury, Derivatives, Mobile Banking, and Web Banking domains to improve effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Facilitate business workshops, requirement discussions, and stakeholder engagements to ensure alignment between business objectives and functional solutions.
- Drive adoption of best practices in business analysis, process management, requirements documentation, and functional governance.
- Support teams in maximizing the value and capabilities of Temenos core banking applications and related banking platforms.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and guide teams in optimizing end-to-end banking operations and customer journeys.
- Foster collaboration between business, operations, technology,
and vendor teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Support banking transformation programs, digital initiatives, system upgrades, and organizational change activities from a functional perspective.
- Guide teams through impact assessments, business readiness planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and solution validation activities.
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations, risk management practices, compliance requirements, and operational controls.
- Monitor team performance, identify capability gaps, and facilitate knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Banking Functional Consulting, Business Analysis, Product Management, Functional Leadership, or Team Coaching roles.
- Proven experience coaching or leading functional teams within retail banking, corporate banking, treasury, payments, lending, investments, or digital banking environments.
- Robust functional knowledge of one or more banking domains including Lending, Investments, Payments, Treasury, Derivatives, Mobile Banking, or Web Banking.
- Hands-on experience working with Temenos core banking solutions such as Transact (T24), Infinity, Payments Hub, Kondor, or related Temenos platforms.
- Strong understanding of banking business processes, customer journeys, operating models, and functional governance practices.
- Experience supporting banking transformation, core banking modernization, digital banking, or regulatory change initiatives.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior business leaders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities with a focus on delivering business value.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Agile Coach, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Agile Business
