- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications in CS

Job Summary

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the organization's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory, statutory, and internal governance requirements. The role is responsible for fostering a strong compliance culture across the organization while ensuring compliance with RBI, NHB (where applicable), Companies Act, Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA), KYC/AML regulations, Fair Practices Code, and all other applicable laws and regulatory guidelines.

The CCO shall function independently and provide objective oversight on regulatory compliance while regularly reporting significant compliance matters to Senior Management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

- Develop, implement, and continuously strengthen the enterprise-wide compliance framework.
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, NHB directions (where applicable), Companies Act, FEMA, PMLA, KYC/AML guidelines, Fair Practices Code, Outsourcing Guidelines, Data Privacy requirements, and other applicable laws.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation of new regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive compliance monitoring program.

Compliance Governance





- Serve as the principal Compliance Officer for the organization.
- Independently assess compliance risks and recommend corrective measures.
- Present periodic compliance reports to the Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee, and Board.
- Develop compliance policies, SOPs, manuals, and governance frameworks.

Compliance Monitoring & Testing

- Conduct compliance reviews across business and support functions.
- Monitor implementation of regulatory observations and internal audit recommendations.
- Track compliance breaches and ensure timely closure through corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop compliance dashboards and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

Regulatory Coordination

- Act as the primary point of contact for RBI, NHB, auditors, and regulatory authorities on compliance matters.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections, supervisory reviews, and compliance audits.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory returns, certifications, and statutory reports.

AML / KYC Compliance

- Oversee implementation of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) frameworks.
- Monitor suspicious transaction reporting and compliance with PMLA requirements.




- Ensure effective customer due diligence and periodic compliance reviews.

Policy & Advisory

- Advise Senior Management and business teams on regulatory implications of new products, processes, and strategic initiatives.
- Review internal policies and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
- Provide compliance guidance during business expansion and digital transformation initiatives.

Training & Compliance Culture

- Design and deliver compliance awareness programs across the organization.
- Promote ethical conduct and a strong compliance culture.
- Ensure periodic compliance certifications from business and functional teams.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with Risk, Internal Audit, Legal, Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Business teams to strengthen governance.
- Support Board Committees by providing compliance insights and regulatory updates.

Key Competencies

- Robust knowledge of RBI regulations governing NBFCs/HFCs.
- Expertise in AML/KYC, PMLA, Fair Practices Code, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent understanding of corporate governance and compliance risk management.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders while maintaining independence.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professional judgment.
