Responsibilities
- Ensuring continuous adherence to IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations, 2025, and all applicable regulatory frameworks across our operations and fund structures.
- Monitoring compliance with the Code of Conduct for the Fund Management Entity (FME) and its KMPs, ensuring alignment with FM Regulations.
- Overseeing adherence to FEMA provisions related to cross-border fund flows, NRI/OCI investments, and foreign portfolio activities.
- Managing compliance with SEZ regulations and GIFT IFSC-specific operational requirements.
- Implementing and tracking the PIT Policy alongside AML/CFT/KYC Policies in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Staying updated on amendments to IFSCA regulations, circulars, and guidelines,
and ensuring timely compliance across the organization.
- Acting as the primary liaison with IFSCA and other regulatory authorities, anchoring the compliance function within our IFSC GIFT City office.
Requirements
- A CS (Company Secretary) qualification from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) - highly desirable for IFSCA-specific curriculum knowledge.
- An LLB/LLM with a specialization in securities or financial services law is advantageous.
- ICSI Certification prescribed for Compliance Officers for GIFT City.
- A minimum of five years of experience in related activities in the securities market or financial products, preferably within an eligible institution.
- Post-qualification experience of at least three years in an eligible institution in IFSC, India or any foreign jurisdiction, with valid certifications.
- Previous experience in Fund Management, Mutual Funds, PMS, or AIF will be a significant advantage.
- Strong time management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret regulatory amendments effectively.
