The Responsibilities:

This role is for a Business Analyst for the Markets Data Store. The candidate needs to be a self-starter, willing to initiate contact with the programme team, internal and external stakeholders and capable of contributing in working groups and workshops engaging these stakeholders. The focus of the role will be to:

- Consumer engagement and facilitate migration of consumers from legacy data sources to
new platform/central trade store.
- Know trade & pre-trade life cycle and key business functions involved like confirmation/affirmation,
settlement, risk calculation and financial reporting.
- Identify the fundamental issues/gaps/requirements in legacy data flows where same data
is copied & maintained by multiple systems
- Perform detailed level, mapping out current state and future state processes and
proposing solutions where appropriate
- Gathering and documentation of business and technical requirements
- Manage the appropriate documentation of business requirements
- Translation of business requirements into technical solution
- Providing documentation and training to end-users
- Ensure adherence to best practice and follow Enterprise domain principles
- Understand, develop and maintain Logical data model for the trading functions in the bank
- Extensive communication on a business and technical level will be required with business
and technology stakeholders and end-users and hence excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), to present reports/updates to senior management
- Work closely with team of Client, in order to cover extensive scope of product and data types, and deal with a large number of stakeholders




- Liaise between the development team and business users in order to define clear and precise requirements

Business Knowledge Requirements
Experience working in data management projects
- Positive understanding of Global Financial Markets & IT Systems development
- Experience of working alongside front, middle and back-office investment banking functions
- Product knowledge across a wide selection of products (like credits, rates, FX derivatives etc.) preferred
- Understanding requirements from business, analysing and raising asks for tech team to develop against the same
- Current State, Impact and Gap analysis with appropriate documentation
- Working with business SMEs for requirements gathering
- Producing Business Requirements, Functional specification and other appropriate documentation
- Defining test plans, scripts and ability to execute testing
- Understanding and management of risks and issues
- Implementation activities including Operational readiness, schedule of events, success criteria
- Be able to solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated)
- Manage dependencies, conflicts and prioritization

Technical Knowledge Requirements
- Strong SQL/XLS/MS Word/PowerPoint/JIRA skills
- Experience of typical investment banking technology and systems
- Exposure to working in Agile teams
- Microsoft office tools (excel and PowerPoint) expertise
Essential Experience: (Must have)
- Prior Technical Experience in Capital Markets/Money Markets domain knowledge
