Responsibilities
- 1. Laboratory Operations and Workflow Management
- Process Efficiency: Ensure smooth daily lab operations and adherence to schedules.
- Turnaround Time (TAT): Maintain prompt processing and delivery of products or experimental outputs.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Implement and update protocols for testing, usage, and data recording.
- 2. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration
- Preventive Maintenance: Oversee routine servicing and calibration schedules for all lab instruments.
- Equipment Uptime: Minimize device downtime and rapid-track repairs or replacements when breakdowns occur.
- Asset Tracking: Maintain an up-to-date equipment register, including tracking breakages or losses.
- 3. Inventory and Resource Management
- Stock Control: Monitor stock levels of chemicals, reagents, and consumables to prevent shortages.
- Cost Optimization: Reduce waste and manage procurement efficiently within the approved departmental budget.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of high-quality materials.
- 4. Safety and Compliance
- Safety Protocols: Enforce strict adherence to hazard control, chemical disposal, and general laboratory safety rules.
- Cleanliness and Order (5S): Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized physical environment complying with institutional standards.
- Audit Readiness: Keep all compliance logs, safety records, and registers ready for internal and external audits.
- 5. Team Supervision and Administration
- Staff Coordination: Assign daily duties, monitor attendance, and supervise junior technicians, assistants, etc.
- Training and Competency: Identify skill gaps and arrange safety or operational training sessions.
Qualifications
- Exp - 8-10yrs Exp. in Manufacturing Industry or Same Industry with Supervisory Level.
- Qualification - Graduate/ DME/DEE
- Reports to - Lab Operations Manager
- Reported by - Production, QC Asst. Executives along with Fitting Team
