Overview Join us as a Nuclear Safety Engineer in our Nuclear Power Division and play a vital role designing complex recent schemes to protect our clients assets There s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all career plan in AtkinsRealis And with a huge variety of projects to work on you ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and challenge yourself as a consultant This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance Your role The role will entail supporting safety case development during the design operation commissioning operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and for the production of all nuclear safety documentation as part of the Site Licence Conditions This may include the following Hazard fault identification studies e g HAZOP HAZAN FMEA etc Qualitative and quantitative safety arguments Safety case development Deterministic and probabilistic safety assessments Engineering substantiation Fault and protection schedules Hazard categorisation and assessment Safety case authoring management development production Fire analysis nuclear or conventional As Low as Reasonably Practicable ALARP assessment Engineering change safety justifications Other key aspects of the role will include assisting in the production of bids and proposals and implementing and contributing to safety initiatives You will also work within teams that liaise with operators designers and clients building a strong relationship with them About you In addition to having excellent communication presentation and problem-solving skills you will also be able to demonstrate the following Bachelor s or master s Degree in a relevant subject Technical practitioner able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and with extensive experience in using fundamental engineering skills Record of delivering technically challenging projects Experience in safety case production and or hazard analysis Able to produce and review correct
