Join us as an Automation Quality Engineer at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. To be successful as an Automation Quality Engineer you should have experience with:
- Strong experience in Quality Assurance with strong hands‑on testing across web and API applications
- Proven expertise in UI automation using Selenium and/or Playwright (BDD style preferred)
- Strong API testing and automation experience, with hands‑on Karate API automation (BDD style preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD integration and automated test execution through Jenkins pipelines
- Solid understanding of test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and quality engineering best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within Agile / DevOps delivery models and modern Quality Engineering practices
- Experience contributing to shared automation frameworks or defining QE standards across teams
- Actively leverages AI‑assisted testing tools to improve automation efficiency, test coverage, and overall quality outcomes
