This role is responsible for translating customer and business requirements into robust system-level solutions while driving the integration of mechanical, electrical, electronics, controls, embedded software, and software subsystems throughout the product development lifecycle.The successful candidate will possess robust systems engineering fundamentals, excellent mechanical and mechatronics expertise, and hands-on experience delivering complex products from concept through commercialization. This role requires close collaboration with global cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance, reliability, quality, manufacturability, and customer expectations.Key Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture and integration for complex electromechanical products and platforms.
- Translate customer, business, and product requirements into system-level specifications and technical solutions.
- Drive end-to-end systems engineering activities, including requirements definition, system decomposition, interface management, integration, verification, validation, and product release.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Service,
and Product Management teams to deliver integrated product solutions.
- Define system interfaces and ensure seamless integration across mechanical assemblies, motion systems, sensors, actuators, controls, electronics, and software.
- Lead technical investigations, system integration activities, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex multidisciplinary engineering issues.
- Develop and execute system verification and validation strategies to ensure product performance, reliability, safety, and quality objectives are achieved.
- Apply structured engineering methodologies including FMEA, Design Reviews, Design of Experiments (DOE), tolerance analysis, reliability engineering, and risk management.
- Support new product development, sustaining engineering, product enhancements, cost optimization, and technology roadmap initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and promote systems engineering best practices across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Development, or a related engineering discipline.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Demonstrated experience developing and integrating complex electromechanical products or systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in system integration involving mechanical components, motion systems, sensors, actuators, electronics, embedded systems, and software.
- Experience defining system architecture, requirements management, interface management, and technical trade-off analysis.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including structural design, GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, DFM/DFA, thermal management, vibration, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with system integration, debugging, verification, validation, and product qualification.
- Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and tools, including requirements management and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), is desirable.
- Proficiency with CAD platforms and engineering analysis tools such as FEA, MATLAB, or equivalent.
- Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies including FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, DOE, and reliability engineering.
- Experience working in regulated, quality-driven, or advanced product development environments.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Engineering Change Management, and configuration management processes.
- Experience working in Agile, Stage-Gate, or hybrid product development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and influence technical direction.
