Job Description:

An Accountant in a coal washery is responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records related to coal processing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain day-to-day accounting records (purchases, sales, expenses, and receipts)
- Handle inventory accounting for raw coal, processed coal, and rejects
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and MIS for management
- Manage billing, invoicing, and reconciliation of coal dispatches
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations
- Monitor cost accounting related to coal washing and processing
- Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently
- Assist in audits (internal and external) and ensure proper documentation
- Process payroll and manage employee-related financial records




- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams for accurate financial tracking

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Robust knowledge of accounting principles and taxation (GST, TDS)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems)
- Good understanding of inventory and cost accounting
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in an industrial/mining environment

Preferred Experience:

3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in coal, mining, or manufacturing industry
