The Senior ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for creating, building, and deploying
custom solutions within the ServiceNow instance, with a specialized focus on mature implementations
across CMDB, ITOM, and ITAM/HAM modules. This role centers on developing advanced scripts,
managing complex third-party system integrations, and tracking assets from initial planning through
disposal. The ideal candidate will bridge infrastructure discovery with automated asset workflows to
ensure peak platform performance and database integrity.
Core Job Responsibilities
Custom & Scoped Development: Build robust custom applications, modules, and Scoped Apps utilizing
JavaScript, ServiceNow Glide APIs, and leading practices.
Asset Lifecycle Automation: Design, configure, and automate workflows, business rules, UI policies, client
scripts, and UI actions that map to the complete Hardware Asset Management (HAM) lifecycle (Plan,
Acquire, Receive, Inventory, Deploy, Maintain, Retire, and End-of-Life).
CMDB & ITOM Visibility: Configure and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data
models,



ensuring real-time tracking of infrastructure dependencies. Implement and optimize ITOM
Visibility (Discovery and Service Mapping) to automate infrastructure updates and drive data
normalization.
Integrations & Hub Management: Architect, configure, and maintain bidirectional third-party system
integrations (e.g., procurement systems, ERPs like SAP, Active Directory) leveraging ServiceNow
Integration Hub and MID Servers.
Platform Quality & Code Governance: Perform rigorous peer code reviews to maintain coding standards,
manage update sets within Secure/Agile cycles, and build comprehensive regression suites using the
Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Operations & Performance Hygiene: Support L2/L3 incident resolution, interpret Instance Scan/Health
Scan reports, and actively remediate platform performance issues-such as slow-running queries and
index tuning-using Instance Observer.
Reporting & Dashboards: Create and manage custom reporting structures, Performance Analytics
dashboards, and process mining.
