Description

The role sits within the Cloud Platform Operations team in Group Digital and is responsible for delivering operational services across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The team manages the day-to-day operational administration of enterprise cloud platforms, including cloud account provisioning, access management, platform configuration, identity administration, licensing, billing administration, and operational support.

Operating within a multi-supplier delivery model, the team collaborates closely with Cloud Engineering, Security, Architecture, Service Management, Identity teams, vendors, and managed service providers to deliver consistent and efficient cloud operations while maintaining compliance with enterprise governance and security standards.

Responsibilities

- Execute operational service requests across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in accordance with established operational procedures and service levels.

- Provision, modify and decommission Azure tenants, subscriptions, GCP projects, and associated cloud resources.

- Administer identity, access, and permission management activities across supported cloud platforms, including role assignments and delegated administration.

- Manage Azure Enterprise Applications, Service Principals, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Google Cloud IAM operational activities.

- Support cloud account and project lifecycle management, including onboarding, changes, transfers, and decommissioning.

- Administer cloud platform licensing, billing permissions, and operational configuration activities.

- Execute platform governance activities to ensure compliance with security policies,



operational standards, and audit requirements.

- Investigate and resolve operational platform issues, escalating complex technical problems to Cloud Engineering or vendor support where appropriate.

- Maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles to support consistent service delivery.

- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, Identity, Service Management, and Architecture teams to support operational delivery and platform improvements.

- Participate in Incident, Problem, Request and Change Management processes to maintain platform stability and service quality.

- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance service efficiency through standardisation and automation.

- Ensure operational activities are completed in accordance with agreed service levels, governance controls, and regulatory requirements.

- Support audit, compliance, and reporting activities related to cloud platform operations.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Cloud Platform Operations and Cloud Engineering.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.





- 4–7 years of experience in cloud platform administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support.

- Experience administering Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) enterprise environments.

- Experience managing cloud account and project lifecycle activities, including provisioning, modification, and decommissioning.

- Experience administering identity and access management, role-based access control (RBAC), and delegated permissions.

- Experience supporting Azure Enterprise Applications, Service Principals, Azure PIM, and Google Cloud IAM.

- Familiarity with cloud governance, operational controls, security policies, and audit requirements.

- Experience working within IT Service Management (ITSM) environments supporting Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes.

- Experience using enterprise ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or equivalent.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate operational platform issues.

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational requests while maintaining service quality.

- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

- Experience working within outsourced or multi-supplier delivery environments is desirable.

- Demonstrates a customer-focused mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

- Google Associate Cloud Engineer

- Google Professional Cloud Architect (desirable)

- ITIL Foundation
