Job DescriptionThe Associate Professor will contribute to teaching, research, consultancy, and academic leadership in the area of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications in Structural Engineering and Civil Infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for developing cutting-edge research, delivering high-quality instruction, supervising students, and promoting the integration of GIS technologies with structural analysis, infrastructure management, disaster resilience, and smart city development.
nKey Responsibilities
nTeaching and Academic Duties

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Courses in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and GIS applications.n
- Develop and update curriculum related to GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, infrastructure monitoring, and structural asset management.n
- Design laboratory exercises and practical training using GIS software and spatial data analysis tools.n
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, theses, and doctoral research.n

nResearch and Scholarly Activities

- Conduct high-quality research in GIS-enabled structural engineering, infrastructure assessment, digital twins, smart infrastructure systems, and geospatial technologies.n
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.n
- Secure external research funding from government agencies, industry partners, and research organizations.n
- Establish interdisciplinary collaborations involving geospatial science, structural engineering, transportation, and urban planning.n

nGIS and Structural Engineering Applications
