Job Description – Product Designer (Automotive Interior & Exterior Components)
Position: Product Designer – Automotive Components (Interior & Exterior)
Department: Product Design & Development
Purpose of the Role: Responsible for designing and developing automotive interior and exterior plastic components from concept to mass production while meeting customer requirements, quality standards,



cost targets, and manufacturing feasibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for automotive interior and exterior components.
* Design parts considering styling, functionality, manufacturability, assembly, and cost requirements.
* Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
* Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, engineering specifications, and change management records.
* Perform tolerance analysis, stack-up studies, and GD&T; application.
* Support DFMEA preparation and design risk mitigation activities.
* Coordinate with customers, tooling suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and project teams during development.
* Support prototype development, tooling trials, validation, and production launch activities.
* Analyze design issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Ensure compliance with customer standards
